Volunteer Work and Contributions

I feel it is very important to give back to your community, donating time and money to meaningful causes.  During my time on the leadership board of the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society at Cal Poly Pomona, we were recognized by the national organization for our commitment to the community.  Whether it was putting on science expositions and demonstrations to inspire local schoolchildren, cleaning up parks and beaches, or renovating local houses with environmentally friendly paints, Cal Poly SAACS was always active in the community.

More recently, I have been involved with the Yale Student Chapter of the Scientists and Engineers for America.  I have volunteered my time and experience to facilitate the branding, design, logistics and promotion for the new group.  My work caught the attention of the national organization, and my graphic design appears on their website, too.

I also contribute to the United Way of Greater New Haven, National Public Radio and the American Cancer Society.
